Our waterfront paradise is on the island, Isla Carenero, named because Christopher Columbus careened his ship here in our bay, in 1503, before his last voyage home. The resort now encompasses 6 acres of lush, tropical landscaping and over 600 feet of waterfront. Our backyard is verdant rainforest. We sit on a point facing west, which captures the refreshing Caribbean breeze and offers up fabulous sunsets. The resort is peaceful and quiet. Coconut trees and many varieties of flowers and orchids fill our lush landscape. We have hummingbird feeders throughout and it is a delight to watch the hummingbirds graceful movement and activity. Many different birds and parrots can be heard singing and conversing in the trees. Butterflies, including huge Blue Morphos abound, Geckos and Fiddler Crabs are simply a fact of life here. A butterfly stamped sidewalk joins all our facilities and plans for adding a butterfly conservatory are under way. We are just a two minute boat ride across the bay to Bocas Town. We enjoy the convenience of close proximity to town, yet are away from the hub, noise, pavement, cars and heat, while on our own tropical island. A three hundred and fifty foot dock extends out over the water leading you to the popular Cosmic Crab Cafe. Our delicious food and exotic frozen drinks are considered by tourists and locals alike to be the best in the area. Our menu favorites include Seafood Bisque, Cosmic Crab Cakes over Caesar Salad, Caribbean King Crab Claws, Grilled Lobster, Ribs, Burgers, Salads and daily Specials. At the M&M’s Residencias in the town of Bocas del Toro we are offering to rent per day, per week or for longer term, one Sea Front 2 Bedroom apartment. At the same location with also have one Sea Front Studio and one Sea Front One Bedroom apartment to rent. It is conveniently located on the water edge of Bocas town and you can enjoy freely the private terrace and the swimming platform of the residence which give you direct access to the water to swim, and from its dock, boats can drop you of and pick you up. To stay in those apartments is a very nice way to combine the experience of the town of Bocas in Colon Island and the discovery of all the surfing spots in the archipelago. Many spots (Dumper, Paunch, Bluff Beach, Pakis' Point,...) are accessible by bike or by a short taxi ride. Other one (Carinero, Silver Back, Long Beach,...), are accessible by boat and how convenient you can have your captain coming pick you up directly at your Bocas residence to go surfing and bringing you back right at your door step when the surfing day is over. This location is close to everything (couple of minutes walk to restaurants and to the best crockery shopping of the town) but in a calm area of the town. They are in a new wooden construction built over the water, facing the lagoon with astonishing views; they are brand new and completely furnished and fully equipped (linen, towels, full bathroom with hot water, kitchen ware, TV., high speed internet, WIFI and A/C).
